I Went to a Secret Nordstrom Spa (and It Was Amazing)
Did you know that Nordstrom actually offers a private spa experience for select customers? At certain stores, there’s a lot more happening behind the beauty counters than just makeup touch-ups. Select locations have in-store spa and beauty services too, often reserved for their top customers as a secret treat.
I’ve been a loyal Nordstrom customer for years, so long that practically all of my clothes for work, travel, and events come from here! I never would have thought I would get the opportunity to experience their secret spa but it turns out my loyalty paid off. When I got the VIP invite, it felt like the perfect bonus to an already tried-and-true routine. Making me double down on my loyalty that much more.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE FACIAL
My invite was to experience the Dr. Barbara Sturm facial, and honestly, I finally understand why people talk about it so much.
Dr. Barbara Sturm as a brand is very much rooted in science and skin health. Her whole approach focuses on calming inflammation and really supporting the skin, which I appreciate more now than ever in my travel-filled schedule. It’s less about quick fixes and more about long-term skin care that actually makes a difference.
The facial itself felt calm and intentional from start to finish. My aesthetician, Farah, took such great care of me, and my skin felt noticeably smoother, more hydrated, and genuinely refreshed afterward, without that tight, irritated feeling some facials leave behind. It didn’t feel like a surface-level glow; it felt like my skin had actually been treated.
What I loved most was how unhurried and private the whole experience felt. Nothing was aggressive or rushed, which made it easy to fully relax. As a business owner with a pretty full schedule, I’m very intentional about my self-care time, and this was such a nice way to truly unwind and reset.

Overall, this experience was such a nice reminder of why I keep coming back to Nordstrom. Beyond the clothes, the store really knows how to make each visit effortless and enjoyable. My spa visit felt easy, well done, and genuinely relaxing without needing to be overcomplicated. I loved being able to slow down for a bit, feel taken care of, and walk out relaxed, refreshed and acknowledged for my loyalty. That is what makes a brand stand out.
If you ever get the chance to try one of their spa services or receive an invite to a VIP experience like this, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s a simple, thoughtful way to treat yourself and a really nice reset, especially if you’re already spending time at Nordstrom anyway!
